CheckrideReady: practice your checkride oral before the real one.
An AI mock-oral examiner built by Northern Utah Aviation Academy. It asks scenario-based questions from the FAA Airman Certification Standards, grades every answer the way an examiner would, and shows exactly which ACS tasks to study next.
What it is
A mock oral exam you can take any night of the week
The oral portion of a practical test is where many well-prepared pilots stumble — not because they don't know the material, but because they've never had to explain it out loud, under questioning, the way a Designated Pilot Examiner asks it. CheckrideReady gives students that practice on demand, for a fraction of the cost of a human mock oral.
- Questions organized by ACS area of operation and task, with real-world scenarios
- Every answer graded Satisfactory, Needs work, or Unsatisfactory, with a model answer and the FAA reference
- A written debrief after each session with strengths, weak areas, and a study plan
- Standard and Tough examiner modes, and progress tracked per ACS task across sessions
Checkrides covered
- Private Pilot — AirplaneFAA-S-ACS-6
- Instrument Rating — AirplaneFAA-S-ACS-8
- Commercial Pilot — AirplaneFAA-S-ACS-7
- Flight Instructor — AirplaneFAA-S-ACS-25
- Aviation Mechanic — GeneralFAA-S-ACS-1
How it works
Three steps, about ten minutes a session
01
Set up the oral
Pick the checkride, the ACS tasks you want covered, the number of questions, and how hard the examiner should push.
02
Answer like it's the real thing
Type your answer the way you would say it to a DPE. Each answer is graded immediately, with the model answer and the regulation or handbook reference.
03
Study what's weak
Get a debrief and a study plan, and watch mastery per ACS task climb as you practice. Instructors can see the same picture.
Who it's for
Students, instructors, and flight schools
Student pilots
Practice the oral as often as you want, set your checkride date, and walk in knowing which topics you've already mastered.
Flight instructors
See every assigned student's average score, weakest ACS area, and readiness before you sign a practical test endorsement.
Flight schools
Give every enrolled student full access with per-seat pricing, invite students and CFIs with a school code, and track readiness across the school.

CheckrideReady is sold by Velocie Mobile Corporation, doing business as Northern Utah Aviation Academy. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Charges appear on your card statement as NORTHERNUTAHAVIATIONACADEMY.COM or CHECKRIDEREADY. Your plan activates as soon as payment is confirmed.
Refund policy
- Checkride Pass: full refund if you request it within 7 days of purchase and have completed no more than one mock oral on the pass. After that, the pass is non-refundable.
- Pilot Pathway monthly: no refunds for partial months. Cancel anytime to stop future charges.
- Pilot Pathway yearly: full refund if requested within 14 days of the first annual charge or a renewal charge. After 14 days, no refunds for the remainder of the year.
- Flight school seats: no refunds for partial months. When you reduce seats, any credit Stripe calculates for unused time is applied to your next invoice.
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
Cancellation policy
You can cancel a Pilot Pathway subscription or a school plan at any time from the Billing page in the app, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. The Checkride Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
Checkride Guarantee
If you buy the $20 Checkride Guarantee with a Checkride Pass, take your practical test while the pass is active, and do not pass, we'll extend your pass for an additional 60 days at no charge. Email us within 30 days of the test date with a copy of your Notice of Disapproval of Application. The guarantee covers extended access only; it is not a cash refund and does not cover examiner, aircraft, or instructor fees.
Billing questions and disputes
If a charge looks wrong, contact us first at admissions@northernutahaviationacademy.com or (385) 408-2415. We reply within two business days and will work with you to resolve it before you need to open a dispute with your card issuer.
Important
CheckrideReady is a study aid. It is not FAA-approved training, does not satisfy any aeronautical experience or ground-training requirement, and is not a substitute for instruction or the endorsements required under 14 CFR Part 61. Always verify against the current FAA Airman Certification Standards, 14 CFR, and FAA handbooks. Passing a mock oral does not guarantee the outcome of a practical test.
