Mission

"To prepare the next generation of professional pilots through disciplined, safety-first flight instruction — building airmen and airwomen who are ready for the airline flight deck, the flight line, and every mountain approach in between."

Vision

"To become the Wasatch Front's most trusted, collegiate-aligned flight training organization — recognized for producing safety-minded, career-ready pilots who launch from Northern Utah into the national aviation workforce."

What we stand for

Five core values

Safety

Every decision is filtered through a formal Safety Management System, not just a slogan.

Integrity

Honest instruction, honest logbooks, honest conversations with students and partners alike.

Precision

Standardized syllabi and stage checks — the same discipline a Part 141 school demands.

Accessibility

A collegiate pathway, aid eligibility, and clear pricing make the flight deck reachable.

Partnership

We grow through aircraft leaseback owners, airport hosts, and university collaborators.

Safety Management System

A four-pillar approach, built into daily operations

01

Safety Policy

Documented commitment, organizational structure, and accountability from leadership down to every CFI.

02

Safety Risk Management

Hazard identification and risk assessment built into every flight release and maintenance decision.

03

Safety Assurance

Ongoing monitoring, incident review, and corrective action tracking across the training fleet.

04

Safety Promotion

Training, communication, and a just culture that encourages every student and staff member to speak up.

A Velocie Mobile Corporation Company

Part of a growing Utah portfolio

Northern Utah Aviation Academy is wholly owned by Velocie Mobile Corporation. The academy was built to bring disciplined, professional flight and maintenance training to the Wasatch Front — and to connect that training to a collegiate degree pathway for students who want both a certificate and a diploma.

Certification

Where we are in the process

We believe prospective students deserve a plain account of our standing with the FAA, so here it is.

Flight training today is conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Part 61 instruction leads to the same FAA certificates and ratings as a Part 141 program, and it is delivered by the same certificated flight instructors. It offers more flexibility in how and when a student trains.

Our Part 141 certification is in pre-application with the FAA. We are building our syllabi, stage checks, and Safety Management System to Part 141 standards from the outset, so that the training you begin now aligns with the certificated program that follows. Our Part 147 maintenance programs are in earlier-stage development.

Part 141 approval matters for students seeking reduced hour minimums for an ATP certificate and for certain forms of financial aid. If either applies to you, talk to us directly about timing before you enroll — we would rather set an honest expectation than win an enrollment on an unclear one.

We will publish each certificate number on this page as it is issued.
